today was quite ok until e evaluation and debrief by my CI at e end.. i even did a wound dressing which i was quite satisfied with (finally!)=]
anyway, my CI made a comment which i disagree with and kind of dampened my day (or night).. she said there are 3 kinds of students.. some starts slow and then suddenly they wake up and improve.. others are proactive from e start, and they either maintain or they improve further.. so she said tt i am proactive from e start, but it looks like there is a slim chance of me improving anymore in e next 2 weeks.. WA LAO AY! according to e way she said it, i take it tt it is not complimentary lor!=/ tt means she is not complimenting me for being proactive, but trying to say tt i have reached my full potential.. i am going to prove her wrong..hmph!
and then she went thru e scat with me and some are not achieved when actually i feel i got achieve.. i think her expectations are too high cuz:
1) i am bonded to cgh
2) jillian specifically read out to her wat is expected of us and i think my CI took it very seriously
e above are not my assumptions orh, she got mention herself a few times before in a less direct way.. and i think e bond part is quite a significant factor lor..
hai lucky got yy with me otherwise i think i'll break down.. nvm got her to pei me!
last nite when i couldnt sleep, i started thinking of my preceptor in my surgical posting in ttsh, her preceptee (a new graduate at tt time) and one other nurse in e same ward.. i miss them! i always forget e nurses and i definitely don think bout them aft each posting.. but i enjoyed tt posting alot and i really like this 3 pple.. i want to go back to tt ward and work w them! but i have to ask xy e ward no again.. hee.. my preceptor was e best i ever had.. she only supervised me for a couple of times cuz she was busy.. but from those brief supervisions, she taught really well and not only did i learnt alot, i even remembered wat i learnt.. and she got guide her preceptee very closely one.. (cuz i was only a yr 2 so she didnt focus on me) how i wish to be her preceptee! miss her..=/ si nian de gan jue..
