wow i simply have to blog bout my day before i sleep.. it was kind of exciting and eventful!
at bout 2 plus in e afternoon, i was already quite free and thinking of how to spend e rest of my afternoon shift, when this strange alarm rang.. it took me one sec to see e word code blue, and one more sec to react.. react as in going "oh my goodness!" in my head.. hee not v helpful hor=p anyway, of course e nurses' reaction was super fast, they kind of jumped out of their seats e moment e code blue was sounded! and then e whole large bunch of us--morn and afternoon nurses plus one student nurse, who is not v significant, but nevertheless part of e bunch, hee, followed e resus trolley into e cubicle! it was kind of drama cuz since when u see a large bunch of nurses walk so fast tog before! hee.. at first i only peeped thru e curtains, and then e super nice sister said," u are yr 3 already, better go in and see" and she hushed me into e scene! yay she rocks!=D
then i had no more time to even stone after my break.. serve meds, change pampers, take para.. and near e end of my shift, 2 pts consecutive got low BP lor! xia si wo.. i took e manual BP and i was very pleased tt i could hear it clear!=]
finally, after passing my report, i was looking forward to go home and watch e campus superstar finals.. when this filial guy asked me to change e baju for his mum.. i have to blog bout this filial guy.. every nite at bout 8 plus or 9, he will pester any nurse he sees to go and change his mother's baju cuz it is slightly wet with her drool.. i have to say tt usually i really don mind staying over time to attend to a couple more patients' needs and i have never rejected them.. but, i really wanted to go home and catch campus superstar, and i cant change e patient alone also..(e nurse are all passing report) so i told him tt i knock off already and he can ask e nurses after they finish report.. then he inconsiderately said, "aiyah change baju very fast one la!" hello it is a bed bound pt and 10 mins is kind of significant when u want to catch a show=/ (and really, e drool is very little!) anyway, fine.. i made him help me change since i cant do it alone! HAH! he is prob being filial, but he don have to appear so kan cheong every time like something major happened and needs immediate attention rite.. before u think i am an evil nurse, let me say again tt i usually don mind attending to pt's needs and have never rejected them before ok!
